The Oak Park Gallery - Torched Rocks in the pre-Dawn
Camera: Nikon D700. Lens: 24mm Prime. Shot at 5.47am on 27th June, 2014. A 30 sec Manual exposure, with no Filters. I love how the pre-Dawn complements the foreground in this image. These rocks & the potential to get big images, with the Kurnell Oil Refinery, the Cape Bailey Lighthouse, & a beautiful pre-Dawn - this is what started me in Torch-work. The Dawn is about 75 minutes away, & indeed after this image, the pre-Dawn exploded in a Colour Display that trashed any possibility of further Light-Painted images.
Display note: This is a Dark image. It explores Imaging at low Light levels; a subject I'm passionate about. For best enjoyment of this image, I advise positioning on a light-coloured wall, in a room with high levels of Ambient light. Dedicated image-lighting is recommended.
Image Size: 320 x 480mm - $290 (Framed Print, thru Paypal).
