Temporary Paddle Pool at Garie Beach

Camera: Nikon D700. Lens: 24-70mm/f2.8 @ 29mm. Shot at 8.00am on 28th January, 2014. Viewed from the South end of Garie Beach, looking North, up the beach. Garie Beach is an exposed beach, known to local Surfers & Fishermen for strong surf & extremes of water movement (if you've been smacked in the head by the lip at Garie, you don't forget it ..). Sand movement is rapid at Garie, with sand-banks & beach-front changing shape overnight. Temporary pools like this have to be paddled & photographed when they're found, as they disappear as quickly as they come. This seagull seems to be thinking 'this wasn't here yesterday ..' This pool vanished overnight ..
