Shooting Cyclone Ita at Wattamolla - a Bridal Veil of receding water


Camera: Nikon D700. Lens: 70-200mm/f2.8 at 200mm. Shot at 1.45pm on 18th April, 2014. Looking South from Providential Point, Wattamolla's southern headland, towards Wollongong. A gentle scene, that belies the power that was unfolding. It was noisy, & the ground rumbled as the set waves unloaded on the rocks below. And with each receding wave, a bridal veil of water poured off the rock-shelf.
