North Head - Sydney Harbour Dusk 2
Camera: Nikon D200. Lens: 70-200mm/f2.8 @ 70mm (105mm corrected). A 92 second Manual exposure. No Filters (well after sunset). Shot in May 2012 from North Head, above the Quarantine Station, looking South across Sydney Harbour to the CBD. The image needed brightening in processing. The sunset was long & drawn-out; as gentle as they come. My 1st exposure was at 5.50pm; this image taken at 7pm. 10 minutes after this shot, I could’nt see the ground in front of me. I love how the navigation markers stand out. You can even see the Sow & Pigs Reef-markers. Surprisingly, less boat trails & aircraft lights in this image – the rest of the shoot is littered with them. Very lucky.
Image Size: 320 x 480mm.
