Kurnell on Fire 2 - Paint Daubs Texture

Camera: Nikon D200. Lens: 24mm Prime (36mm corrected). Shot in April 2012, from the grassed picnic area at Silver Beach, Kurnell, next to the Botany Bay National Park. Looking to the Kurnell Oil Refinery pier, with Rockdale just peeping over the top of the pier structure. A walker with dogs gives context to a beautiful scene. Capturing the human element as a ghostly presence (as opposed to frozen in motion) helps convey the temporary nature of their presence in the image. Giving the scene a Texture further softens its impact, which is what I'm seeking. The Paint Daub gives the water a shimmering metallic finish, which works really well with this image. I have this on my Living Room wall.

Image Size: 265 x 480mm.
