Jibbon Head & Cape Solander - Poster Edges Texture
Camera: Nikon D700. Lens: 85mm Prime. Shot in early November 2013, looking North-East to Jibbon Head, with Cape Solander in the distance. I think this image demonstrates how effective a Texture can be. The `pure' image is lacking in both excitement & detail, & is unlikely to feature in these galleries. Certainly, it could do with a yacht somewhere in the scene (there was a yacht moored in the Bay, poorly positioned for this scene - life's like that !) An overlain Texture puts an extra dimension into the mix, & transforms it into an image which emphasises the colour & detail that was there all the time, but which by itself was not enough. The detail introduced into the rocks is a case in point - the rocks are bought to life by the addition of texture. A perfect scenic - it's going into a frame, & onto my Wall (along with all the others ..)
