Cape Solander Filters - Dawn scenic 2
Camera: Nikon D700. Lens: 24-70mm/f2.8 @ 70mm. Shot as a 4 second Manual exposure at 6.30am in March 2013. Shot from the viewing platform, facing South-East at Cape Solander, on the seaward side of Kurnell, in the Botany Bay National Park. The 2nd of 2 images from the shoot, this 1 taken an hour after the 1st. I'd removed the Filters. I wanted the sun to feature on the exposed sandstone rock faces. A delicate tinge of Pink remained from the drawn-out Dawn. This was the only image where the Sun co-operated. The detail in the rocks in this scene is fantastic, particularly in the foreground. I prefer to shoot Manual when shooting scenics, particularly when juggling Filters.
Image Size: 275 x 480mm.
